Well, gang, we had some fun with the What Do You Miss thread, now it's time to move on to something a little more positive.

What makes your heart skip a beat? Gives you a case of The Vapors? Causes major whim-whams? Gets you all fluttery?

In no particular order, here are some of mine:

Nylon stockings with seams up the back.
Marines in their dress uniforms.
A man holding a baby.
A woman lifting up her hair at the nape of her neck and saying "Could you zip me?"
The first day that really feels like autumn.
A little mystery.
A woman driving a stick shift. (I know, I know! Don't analyze, just blurt!)
Bicyclists.
Being sung to, even by someone who can't.
Some really well-fitted jeans.
"Shut up and kiss me."

The first asparagus of the season under 3.00 USD a bundle.

The great tomato based dishes of summer, gaspacho or panzanella, or insalata caprese, or, or, or.

The first crate of clementines for the winter. Couldn't survive an Ohio winter without them.

(David, I totally agree with you about Michael Buble. One problem, though; he's a good-looking young man, no? So why, in almost every picture I've ever seen of him, does he make himself look like he has a headache?)

(And in a totally irrelevant vein (because it just happened to occur to me), doesn't Avril Lavigne look like Jennifer Anniston in a really bad mood?)
