things you hoard...

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

Just as long as they make some sort of adapter. I like my lamps too much... which is one of my items I hunt for. I have a big vintage vynal collection, several vintage tvs, radios, stereos, and pretty much anything from the 50's and 60's. I'm having to part now to make the house look good. It's so difficult!

Hoard? Hoarding? Hoarder?

<span style="font-size: large;">Excuse my limited english vocabulary but what's hoarding? I never heard about that! </span>

<span style="font-size: large;">I tried</span><span style="font-size: large;"> Google French translations and it's telling me </span><span style="font-size: large;">"Thésauriser" and "thésaurisation"  I still have no idea what that is! (seriously, I never heard these words in French!).</span>

<span style="font-size: large;">OK, I know something I definitely don't hoard! It's money!! </span>Or maybe I do but it's just a few coins!

On a second thought, I don't hoard sugar sachets or matchbooks like my uncle did when he was a kid! I remember my grandmother throwing the stuff away from his bedroom a few years after he left! Too bad as some of these were already 20+ years old when she did and they'd probably be 50 years old now!

All of those 45's reminds me of the boxful I got from a radio station-still have them-they have a little "Q" burn on them from airplay-but they are fine-A jukebox would be nice to store and play them in.So far having a hard time finding a jukebox I can afford that is in reasonable condition. At one time radio stations were another good source for 45's. But nowadays most radio station DJ's have nerver SEEN one-or a turntable for that matter.I do have a small "hoard" of Technics TT's I got from a radio station after they converted to digital.I got a TRUCKFUL of equipment from them after they converted to digital Scotts Studio Touchscreen systems.Fixed their transmitter. They had new studdio gear -but were using an older Gates transmitter.Jukebox route operators were another source of 45's if you got to know them-but the records would have a lot of playing time on them.

Reading these comments, I see that people still like incandescent light bulbs. I wish that someone close to me were in that category. I have over 100 various types of bulbs that I have been trying to sell on CL, without takers. I even have a couple of these Westinghouse sunlamps.

I just can't imagine using bulbs consuming 100 watts or more.

My hoard stash

The things I hoard, ironically enough.....

Is every cleaning/laundry product known to man. I just have a thing for chemicals - this extends to aftershaves/personal care :/

Sunlamps---Skin cancer in a box!Loved the text on the sunlight bulb packages-how the UV can be healthful-in those days--maybe-but later on as people got skin cancer from too much exposure to real sunlight and tanning rays from sunlamps and tanning machines-things changed.
