Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

if you were closer to Chicago i would pick up that speed queen, my old neighbor used to have one like it with the filtering tub ring in harvest gold. the control panel was all silver though. i can still hear that squeek that the lid switch would make when you raised the lid. she still has the matching dryer, she loved that washer till the seal went out and it was also roaring in the spin cycle.

speed queen and montgomery wards

Hi Ben, sweet looking machines, if i lived closer to ya I would snatch both of them up in a heartbeat. I hope they both find good homes, i have a Speed Qeeen that I'm using as a daily driver your vintage, you wouldn't happen to have an extra drive belt that you would like to sell? Thanks, Mike

Update

The SQ was sold to a lovely younger couple via Craigslist. I'll probably part out the wards, so if anyone is needing parts let me know. I still have the range and fridge - both of which will probably make their way to CL as well.

Mike - I don't have any spare parts on hand for this generation of SQ. I would suspect you'd still be able to get belts from your favorite appliance parts store.

Ben
