Just found out that my dad's Whirlpool Duet washer (Original version purchased 1 Jan 2003.) died this afternoon. It was washing a large load of sweatshirts and started banging very loudly when it reached a couple hundred RPM and could not go faster than that. Step-dad turned the machine off and found little white plastic shavings all over the place. The spider assembly broke and the inner tub was scraping against the outer tub during the spin cycle.
So, my dad decided to give me a call and ask me to do some research for a suitable replacement. After an hour on the phone with him, we settled on the new Whirlpool Duet washer. We will be purchasing the machine on Thursday when I have arrived home after finishing my last final exam up here at Ferris State! The very next day, I'll be picking up my new Whirlpool topload washer! Two new washers for Christmas! I'm so excited!!!!![this post was last edited: 12/10/2010-18:09]
