Wouldn't be better to just install a dimmer in your bathroom?
A haunted toilet!
Instead of a dimmer for the bath, I'm installing a GFCI receptacle that has a LED nightlight built in to it.

Does a dimmer make your toilet bowl glow in the dark? No, No it doesn't.
I was thinking for kids too, or visitors. The "that's creepy" factor is jus so much fun.

One of those would look really cool in my Blue 1967 American Standard with all it's swirly action. Actually I do this with a flashlight during power outages. Looks real neat.

I don't know if a flashing strobe like toilet would be good money spent for comedys sake.
I mean sure, your house is sure to get lots of attention what with the neighbors laughing first WITH you, and then AT you.
But I think the precipitous loss in proper values may have a sobering affect that cancels all that out.
Then what if you have to change a burned out bulb? Who's going to reach in there and do that?
And what if it shorts out? Anyone using a plumbing fixture in the neighborhood could be seeing light for the rest of their eternal life.
You know it will get old. What happens when the thrill is gone? Disco Duck was once funny too. ONCE !

I am reminded of an old joke. An old man goes to this doctor for a checkup. The doctor asks how he copes with day to day life.
"I'm doing really well!" the man said. "God is really helping me as I get older. Wny, He even turned on the bathroom light for me when I opened the door last night!"

"Oh, no! Harry must have relieved himself in the refrigerator again!"

No short outs--Its battery operated
No problem with bulb changes--They are LED, and the unit hangs on the rim.
