A family affair

Wonderful job! Wonderful YOU!!

I totally agree with "jons1077" message. Random acts of kindness & SELFLESSNESS.

Wonderful people coming together with a common interest/goal.

Fantastic TEAMWORK.

Interesting Spigot/faucet (plumbing) set-up; including the separate "standpipe" and sink. YAY!!

The adorable pets must have been your "good luck" charm, Kevin! LoL (Ducks & RunSSSSSS)

House Call!!!

I agree with the housecall. We should all make an effort to provide one free housecall to someone with a vintage machine in need per year.

That is the centerpost that you see rusted, and there is essentially no such thing as a spare unless one changes the entire baseplate. I have done that once with a brand new one - it was a $100 part in 1992, and is NLA for all the various baseplates (there were at least seven different ones for 1960 models forward).

The rust there is not uncommon at all. It can be scraped away and sealed-over at least temporarily, which is what Kevin did if I understood what he told me. This will add significant time to the machine.

Kevin thanks for sharing the restoration photos, and the Lovepuppy sure is cute.

It's great to see owners take such interest in, and appreciate their machines as Natalie and Paje do. I think this set is going to have a long life based on both that, and the wonderful job you did restoring them.

Have a good one,
James
