I thought the same thing when I first saw the picture. The European model Thor has a round glass window in the top. I believe what we both saw in this picture was a rubber dish drain mat that someone had put on top of the machine, given it was next to the kitchen sink.
The seller has also posted on Craigslist the Kenmore wringer washer that was also located in the house. She's asking $150. Wasn't able to try it out due to problems with the electricity in the house.
