Greetings,
I recently picked up a set of Morton metal kitchen cabinets that I am going to restore and use. The set came with a Thor sink that I have no use for as I already have a sink. The sink top and cabinet are in great shape and totally restorable with a some rust on the interior shelf but no dents or holes or chips on the outside. The washer unit had been removed when I got if but I was told that all of the pieces are there for restoration and reassembly.

I honestly have no idea what this is worth although I gather it is quite rare. Im selling it to recoup some of the investment from the cabinets. Please feel free to make an offer.

Thanks much.
Travis

The Insert is all there. It was removed by the previous owner for weight consideration when moving it. I would assume you would take it out to restore it anyways.
cheers

I may have used the incorrect terminology. By insert, I meant the tub, dasher, and racks that were used to convert the washer to the dishwasher.

Picture 7 seems to show the motor/transmission assembly and just the outer tub. What's missing is the actual dishwasher tub with dish racks and the washing machine wash basket with agitator.

So close....

Torlief -

Are there any additional parts to what you show in your pictures? If not, Kenmore58 is right in pointing out that major components (including the rare dishwasher insert) are missing. That unfortunately would probably only make this good for parts if someone needed a donor machine.

Just what is in the picture along with a small pile of nuts bolts and other small items. I guess the insert is missing. But it still must be worth something to someone?

Unfortunately...

I can't speak for everybody, but I am fairly certain in saying that few people will be interested in that unit unless they need a specific spare part. Without the insert to make it fully functional, it is too much of a risk-based project for most people to want to tackle. A restorer would have to sit on the project and just hope the missing piece(s) show up.

If anybody needs a spare part (or anticipates a need for a spare part) they should probably speak up now. Otherwise, this unit will probably have more value as scrap metal (which is very unfortunate).

Yes unless there is any interest I will probably scrap the top and washer parts and use the bottom as a shop cabinet.
cheers
