Nice Thor GladIron ironer for anyone local. These ironers are great but very heavy and do not ship well, so local P/U would be great. Had two in the past, but sadly both went belly up, and were sent to the rubbish before knew about this group, kept the roller covers and side wing tables though. The late Mike Arnold, was a wiz on fixing these things.
GladIrons do not ship well because the base is made from cast iron, which is by nature brittle. If the unit is not packed and shipped carefully, the base and or plate will snap (ask me, I know)apart. Happily if one knows of a good welder or can weld, damage is sometimes fixable (again, ask me how I know).
Still have the owner's manual around some where as well.
These units were great for doing shirts because the roller was designed for one to fit the roller into the shirt sleeve. Then the ironer irons "round".
