Thread Unsubscription

I have looked but not found a method to unsubscribe from threads which I have read or participated in.

There are some threads which show up as yellow "rinse" status which I would like to stop notifications for.

Some of these threads have changed in nature and no longer interest me.

How can I unsubscribe from a viewed thread?

Hi David, those indicator lights (for upgraded members) aren't meant to be any sort of a subscription to a thread. They simply let you know if you never been in a thread (WASH), if there is an update after since the last time you've been in that thread (RINSE) and if it hasn't been updated since the last time you were in that thread (SPIN).

I never created a system to manually change those indicators so there is no way to do what you're asking, at least at this time.

Robert, was there a function at one point to mark all threads in a forum section as read or am I having a data recall glitch?

Hi Glenn, that was early on when the indicator lights were cookie based and only worked per each local computer. Also back then there were only 100 active threads and the rest went into the archives so there wasn't much data to store, but now everything is active. Once I changed the indicators to a database function so the lights would work across the board by username that became impossible to do. Now with nearly 90,000 threads recording so many threads for each user would be a database nightmare storage wise.

Thanks for the insight. It isn't a big deal! I just thought I might be missing something myself.
