So i have a box of Tide Absolute i found (I actually have like 3, because wasn't sure i'd find more).. Where is this from? Was told it was Russian

Also notice I have publix all fabric bleach, fresh start, two kinds of all... Windex of course.. Tide, gain, oxydol powder (not shown) and Gain softner

Also the Gain scent beads and gain dryer sheets are on the dryer

In a seperate box I have Japaneese tide, mexican tide and what i believe to be another japanese laundry soap

I love collecting laundry soap and have been trying for years to gain a box from every country with little sucess

I also am collecting my favorites from around the US.. Hope to find a box of Oxydol Powder (Yellow with light green at bottom box, i got it from Hy Vee In Lincoln NE last time about 3 years ago)

Yes, this one is from Russia. It is the "Alpiyskaya svezhest" which means Alpine freshness. The one you have is also "Ruchnaya stirka" - hand washing, so you can use it in a toploader, as it is very sudsy.

As you probably already know I am also a collecter of laundry detergents from all around the World, so we share the same hobby :-)

Here in europe, tide is sold only as a hand-washing detergent. It can't be used in automatic washers because it would cause oversudsing. The european equivalent to american Tide for auto washers is Ariel.

Detergent as a hobby

I love love love detergent, and like trying out all new kinds.

However, trying to dwindle my collection down to just one or 2 now, as the amount of detergent I was throwing away was criminal (due to lack of storage space as in much smaller house now, and a lot used to go a bit funny as had it a while).

I feel sick thinking about what I have wasted.

No Tide here in the UK (was discontinued in the early 80's). Used USA Tide and I love it. As PP said, ours is Ariel.

GRWasher_expert's

I have to correct you ;-)

Europe is big.
In Greece Tide is sold only as a hand-washing detergent, but this is not true for some other European countries.

Along with Greece Tide brand is also present in Portugal, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia Herzegovina, Serbia, Bolgaria, Romania, Russia. And in these other countries Tide is also a regular detergent to be used in automatic washers.

Tide for automatic washers was also sold in Greece in the '80s and '90s.I think it was called "Tide-o-matic".It was discontinued in the late '90s.Since then, only hand-washing Tide is available.

Also, the European Tide formula is sold under the brand name Vizir in Poland and Alo in Turkey.

And Ace here is a brand of chlorine bleach, previously owned by P&G and now by some Italian company.

Since when is Ace not a P&G Brand?I searched it and I found that it is now distributed by a company called "Fater S.p.A."Until last year I remember it being still a P&G brand.

UK Ace

We have Ace gentle (green bottle) and Ace white (of course a white bottle) bleaches here.

I think it was a P&G brand, but has not been for many years.
