IIRC, from reading the website awhile back. They actually give you a choice, lol. I'm thinking that the smell of Perc and whatever scent they've added will smell kind of like cheap air freshener and bathroom smells. Makes me hope that I'm wrong. :-)

P&G actually tested an owned (not franchised) dry cleaner in suburban Atlanta about 10 years ago called Juvian...very high-tech (each piece of cleaning was bar coded, you could pick up without human intervention). Off-premise work. It was near me in affluent suburbia (they ran lots of coupons) but they sold it to a local multi-unit operator. I still have a few shirts with the barcode attached...I think this is P&G packaging up the learnings and combining it with the Tide name and licensing the package to the franchisor. As I recall, they were quite enthusiastic about laundry and really pushed doing fluff and fold of things like polo shirts with some enzymatic treatment to keep colors bright (their cellulase invention, I'd guess).

Tide Dry Cleaners...

Is No More, in Duluth GA. Never saw anyone in the drive through when I went by, so not so surprised. They had the windows perpetually tinted with some wavy design so you couldn't see into the storefront. Too bad for Tide...

Sure would like to know

what "green dry cleaning is?
I worked in Dry Cleaning years ago. Back then it was "dry" cleaning (charged perc) in a Dry Cleaning machine, or wet cleaning..in a washing machine. There's is no water in a dry cleaning machine! Not that comes in contact with clothes!
If done right there shouldn't be any scent left in the clothes...perc or detergent!
What are they talking about? And Whats green about perc?
