Thanks so much for the exact how to do it with phosphates. I had seen Trisodium Phosphate at the hardware store for years, but wasn't sure about using it for laundry. An incident where I got a little heavy handed with an ammonia/vinegar/sodium carbonate combo made me shy of experimenting (the linoleum dissolved before my very eyes!)
Is adding the phosphates OK with both liquid and powder?

STPP vs TSP

Thanks landramatt for that link-It showed me that STPP is different from the TSP I've seen in the sundries dept. Hmmm, may have to get some of this....
