You asked for it!

Not my best picture, but here's me doing the Sheer Look pose in front of the "New for 1957" Frigidaire WI-57 Control Tower! In case ya'll are wondering, this was taken in the later hours of Friday night and with all those Filtrators running, I was sweating heavily by then! Thanks to Eddy who took this one!

YAY for Convention 2005...the memories will live on!

Hi Austin,
You’re a real cutie pie. Can you please explain the Sheer Look pose to me? I am not familiar with that term please pardon my ignorance.

All the best.

Were right in the middle of the great lakes. Sault Ste Marie. Nice that it is a boarder crossing. Sault Ste Marie MI is 2 min. from town. Michael

Matt in NYC

Here's a recent pic with my head shaved. This was taken at the Famous CBGB's Rock-n-Roll Punk Bar in the East Village. this was Gay Pride Weekend and the LAST of the iinfamous Rock-n-Roll Fag Bar nights. We all got dressed in some fun 80's trash and had a night of it with beer and punk boy bands - it was fun - It's very sad, but typical, as we all know that good old things get replaced by the newer annd the things which will make more money - CBGB's rent started at $750/month back in the early 70's. Now the properrty owners charge a whopping$40,000/ a MONTH!!! So thhe owner said its time to call it a night! We were hoping the historical society would make it a Landmark as it TRULY IS the PUNK ROCK Hall of Fame! I wish I had more pics of the inside - but there is a great book out there with lots of pics of Debdy Harry, the Ramones, etc etc... Oh Memories...

lost in Hooverland

The camera and I don't get along too well, never have, but I like this pic. I'm on the left, me & Fred last year when the VCCC came to tour my collection.

Jack in Hooverland

Since I share my house with him, his pic deserves to be up here too. This is Jack, my baby. He's a mix of beagle, golden retriever, and collie. He turned 3 on July 15, and as you can see he knows how to ham it up for the camera!

Look at all those Hoovers!

That is an impressive collection Jeff! My favorites have to be the 1010 & 1060, and the 1020 & 1070 Convertibles.

And is that a 1969 Self-Propelled DAM in the center?

hoovers:

Austin,
Thanks, I haven't counted, but there are well over 100 Hoovers living here, and more keep coming!
I like the 1010/1060 models too, they are very near and dear to my heart.
The DAM you see behind Jack is model 1176, its the 2nd powerdrive model, and the first DAM model with a headlight. The first powerdrive came out in June of 1969, model 1170, and the 1176 followed a few months later.

A more recent picture

This was taken in February at my 40th birthday party. Note the Flair and the Westinghouse Roaster - as well as that flying saucer just above my head. What's a birthday party without some aliens? :-)

Oh NONSENSE PETE!!!

Has it boiled down to who's cuter than who???
I'll take my place at the bottom of the list now...

I did find one other pic I like, a recent one too.
This is me, and my friends John Grieve and Tim Stuart. John and Tim are from Sydney Australia, and this was us three at Ohare Airport as they were leaving to head back home this past May.

Since this is a beauty contest...

...I'll leave my picture out...but I have to comment that Michael's partner Palmer looks astonishingly like my ex!

John
