Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

John, what era dishwasher would this be from? I have a mid-to-late 1970s Inglis dishwasher timer (should be fully compatible with a Whirlpool) but I don't know what the part number is... Oh, if it helps, this is not a rapid-advance timer that I have.

Timer

I bought one for my grandparent's Kenmore washer off Ebay. It was new and made by Midwest Timer. I bring that up because Midwest was usually the OEM timer supplier and they do rebuilds.

In lieu of finding a new one, perhaps they can rebuild yours and return it to you. Worth a try....

Midwest

Hmm, that's news to me, it must have been in a while. In my case, the Midwest unit I bought was actually advertised as an WLP original, which it technically is (as they were usually the OEM supplier), but it wasn't in an OEM box.

Either way, it fit and worked great. In fact, the end of cycle buzzer came back after I installed it. It hadn't worked since I was a kid.

I'm sure some of you know "Appliance Aid" Jeff (www.applianceaid.com) and I believe he's got some links for timer rebuilding on his site. If not, a Google search usually turns them up.

In my case, I got lucky. I just searched 357135 (superseded to 660651...I even remember the number) and I got an Ebay hit. $23 later I was in business for a new timer.

I'm sure one will turn up or a way to rebuild the original...hopefully for the OP to keep the classics going....
