Hi guys.

My Nan and Grandad have just moved into a care home and we are clearing out their house. Have got these little treasures up for grabs if anybody wants to make an offer on them. . .

First item is a Hoover dishwasher, model no: 4805. Was in working order last time she used it (about 15 years ago lol!)

. . . and finally a lovely old Hoover Senior mod: 612

This is in good working order, although could do with new mains lead. Did origionally have old 15A round pin plug on it which i replaced over weekend at home so i could try it.

unique dishwasher

Could anyone explain the concept of this dishwasher. How would you load it & did it do a good job ? Thanks Mike

LOL

Just spoken to Paul on the phone and hes so excited,

He will be intouch about it - we will probably take the Zanussi should you still have it for us too.

Fingers crossed noone else has taken it, we both await your response eagerly.

Hi Bjorn

Is this an auction style thing where if someone would like an item they make an offer and the highest offer wins?

That would be fair to everyone then as it depends on when people see your posting.

Hello all, I had one of the Hoover dishwashers and only replaced it 7 years ago. The round baskets pull out and will come apart ( top and bottom ) cutlery in the middle grey baskets, plates and bowels in the top, mugs and pans in the bottom, and the unit is turned buy the pressure of the water jets which are in the top right and bottom right, very small spray arms so turn the baskets to make sure that nothing is sticking out and stopping it moving and try to balance things out so the weight is even. The heater in under that round filter. You put the powder in a little dispenser that hangs from the top basket on a hook and the base of the dispenser has chains as it drops of the bottom when the water gets hot releasing the powder, you have to hold base in position then press the black button inside though the twist off side cap, no salt is used as no water softener unit, rinse aid is put in a little pull out filler at the top of the machine, the reservoir last for weeks, if it works it’s a fun machine, it washes and then rinses and then fill and heats the last rinse so the items get steamed first. Mine rusted badly in the bottom and was past repairing. P.S. there is a vent at the top and clouds of stem will bellow out which is fun too.

Finally home from work

What a wonderful set of vintage machines Bjorn!

That Autojet looks and no doubt is superb - the Parnall looks great too.

Last saw an Autojet, in great condition, sat outside a house in my village awaiting disposal. I had been out for a walk with my dad and stumbled across it, probably about 20 years ago.

An aunt and uncle had one of them too. It lived adjacent to an Indesit L5 for many years and then an Indesit Generation Innovation.

Great stuff!

However you wish to dispose of it Bjorn, I can confirm mine and Rob's interest.

Below is an image I have of a 4805 fully loaded.
