They're crawling out of the woodwork it seems. I saw this one advertised in the local paper for 10 bucks so was happy to drive across town and pick it up from the original owners. Only problem with it is a nasty bell ringing sound when it winds down on shut off like one of the fan blades is tapping against the housing. It sounds like an old phone but you don't hear it while it's running. It's a pretty close but not exact match to the blender.

Officially its called:

Bali green, and was also used on the US model 1149 Dial a Matic.

Pete, the sound you describe is something stuck in trhe fan chamber. Pop the bag off at the back and see if you can see the whats caught.

You're really on a lucky streak, congrats!!!

Wonderfully gaudy!

That's one of my fav Convertibles. I just love green. Can't help it. Nice find!

when i got my first Hoover 913 off ebay, it too had something caught in the fan chamber. it was located towards the front of the chamber, near the agitator. the impeller made a scraping sound, and when you turned it by hand you could hear that bit of a *ping* sound metal impellers make. it was a small hunk of wood, and several sewing-type pins, clustered around it. who knows how that got in there. theres something about that model Hoover Pete found, and the model right before it. they keep popping up over and over...

Bobby,

Depends on the vintage of the Slimline. The earlier one would have been Spring green, and the model 2017 would have been bali green.
The Bali green is way neon!!
