Since im working 2nd shift now, I have been cooking lunch/dinner, before leaving,Today I fixed a meat dish my Aunt Jean has made many years, its similar to Swiss Steak, Flour and brown cube steak, slice a big onion over it, add 2 cans Hunts tomato sauce, a cup or so of water, cover and simmer about an hour.

Mashed Potatos...

And some old fashioned "Fried Apples"..they are not really fried, but thats what they are called...Golden delicious apples cooked in a stick of butter and about a half cup of sugar until slightly caramelized..

<span style="font-family: 'book antiqua', palatino; font-size: 12pt;">I love fried apples on waffles instead of syrup.  Everything looks so delicious.</span>

That takes me back!

I love that kind of meal, although it's too hot for it in Atlanta right now.  We eat a lot of chicken salad down here in the summer!!!  Hot food is mostly from the grill.

I love the whole stick of butter in the apples.  That's the only way to do it.
