I was reading the specs for the 6 vane agitator and looking at the model # 110.67331000 diagram, it's a 3 vane with speed bumps on the skirt.
I wonder how they got away calling it a 6 vane agitator?

Hi,
In the chart they call it a water refiner, but more interesting is the variable speed control...Got me thinking....Those crazy heady 60's. Even the washes were wild. Frigidaire, GE, and others had these variable speed controls, like a volume dial, any speed you want, a few even on the spin.
If we could only some day find these gems. When everyone's retired, we could assemble bands of washer men, scouring towns across the land. "Looookowwwwt! (look out) here comes the wash gang with their spinning tubs and high speed hoses. Hide your children." LOL
Love the 6 finned rotoflex, T-H-E dream agi for me, hands down, no equal.....some day.

WATER SOFTENER ON WASHER
I believe WP and Sears did sell washers with a wall mounted water softener. The device was not an accessory because it was integrated into the wiring and plumbing of the machine. I have the service manual for the WP washer that had this feature, Alought I have never seen one in person. I discovered that WP had these back in the mid 1970s while scanning through the film cards that had all the parts information. At the time I was integrated by the idea of a built in water softener and I looked up some of the parts and they were available but it was too expensive and complicated to add to an existing machine with out the feature on it.

That Vari-Flex was great most of the time in our '67 LK. It could get confounded with air pockets & blue jeans at least as badly as other agitators. Needed a dual-action screw,which is essentially what most modern agitators evolved into. SHAME the DD's couldn't have a longer/slower stroke action. Nothing's Perfect.
