Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

What does WCI know about anything? They definitely have no shame.

BTW, this serves to answer yesterday's POD question, Westinghouse, Weasyhouse, or Whiteconhouse? The filter and dispenser on this Frigiwhite match those on the Whiteconhouse. (I had guessed Weasyhouse, I take it back.)

Water Level and the 1-18

I would say that the water level on a 1-18 should be set an inch below the dry clothes load, but not the index-a-tator in a WCI machine. Opposite should be the case in most agitator machines.

My rule of thumb has generally been the water level should exceed the dry clothes load level by the depth of the agitator vanes on the base of the agitator. This gives room for clothing to move out of the agitator's way during operation and improves load rollover.

Just my opinion... Malcolm
