I mean how can you not buy them when they're only $1.50 each
A perfectly working very clean Proctor 4 slice toaster, nothing fancy and these models including the 2 slice version make excellent toast

I've been waiting for this turquoise GE mixer to show up to fill out the color lineup. I have the yellow and tan ones already. It was missing the beaters but they had a bin of them so the two shown fit though they're not quite the right ones.

Lastly this lovely SCM Coronet Super 12 typewriter with case. I swore I wasn't going to take anymore typewriters and got rid of my other ones before the big move but I just couldn't resist. Always fun to play with

Cool finds! BTW, if you would like a set of the beaters for that neat GE mixer, please let me know - I have 100's in my collection - I just have to find them (I am dealing with a lot of boxes still after moving from 2 houses into 1).

That mixer is high on my thrift store shopping list but it's been years since I've seen one out there and I don't get to the segundas as often as I'd like. I've probably missed out on quite a few of them simply due to not having the time to spend going thrift-hopping.

I did stop in at a Goodwill on my way home from work yesterday and was appalled at how junky the store was. And they had done away with the section that was devoted to small appliances. Just a few junk coffee makers sharing shelf space with what appeared to be kid-related merchandise. I won't be going back to that particular Goodwill any time soon.

Pete...

I have the same GE mixer in white. Brand new-never used with a complete set of attachments! If I get some time I will take some pictures.

Age?

Great finds, when does the mixer date from? When did they go from metal bodies to plastic ones? I have one of those big counter top ones with the bowls and attachments from the mid 50's and have been looking for a vintage hand mixer. I hope you enjoy the neat finds.

Greg,
The mixer here dates from the mid-1960's. This style was made by GE from about 1962 until 1968. GE made only one metal-body mixer from about 1954 to 1956, then went to the plastic-bodied models.
