Top Loaded dryer pics

Yep you maybe remembered that i told about a old top loaded dryer that i had recycled earlier this year. I took some photos of the machine and i,m gonna show you the pics. I have all on My Webshots album and will give you the link too. But first, here is the first pic

On the next pic you see the electrods in the drum. They help the machine check when the clothes are dry.

On the next pic you can see the backside of the dryer before unscrewing

Okay now next pic is after i removed the backside. You can see the electronic board (its numbered 1)You can also see the backside of the fan and the element.Here is where the fires started in this model.

In next photo i had removed a LOT more, however now you see where the motor and fan is.

In the next photo you see the fan and the motor together. Its a very small motor and fan in this machine. Makes you wonder why its so small.

Thanks for the pictures Fredrik. That's a cute little dryer, what a pity it couldn't be saved and restored. Is that a plastic drum or a paint on steel one?

Its a steel drum that is painted white. My opinion about this dryer is that:

1 it was a pretty good dryer if you dismiss the "fire" problem. You could also vaccum it to prevent the problems. Our teacher at school did that often.

2 It was really a cute little machine

3 It wasn´t too noisy (we had a working one at school and i was amazed about the pretty low sound level and it dried the clothes pretty fast too)

4 Because it was so small it could easily fit in a small bathroom which was really good.

5 It had a very fancy electronic "dry" system that even may have been best at the time.

6 That white drum looks nice

Lol. This is so funny. A friend of mine that know that i,m interrested about washing machines and dryers had an very interresting machine to show me. Guess what kind of machine it was? Yes, you guessed it, A Electrolux Top loaded dryer that was ...... UNUSED. HUH? He said an very old lady had bought it, but never used it. The instructions lay in the drum. Had never been opened.

I was a little confushed to say the least. That old lady must have had it since 1975 and never used it. How come? Well, he gave it to me and i took it home. Now i think i use this dryer instead of my old Cylinda from 1975. That drier is not working good anymore.

First test: Nice sound. Its even quiter than my old Cylinda. Buddys, its party time all around now!!!!!!!!!!
