Any suggestions as to where to get good wearing 100% cotton towels that are not the gigantic sizes and too heavy. I like them around 30 x 50 in size,if possible anymore. They seem to be getting bigger every year and more expensive.Thank you for any recommendations.
Cheers :)

Bed Bath and Beyond

BBB may have what you are looking for as there bath linen choices seem endless. I bought some towels (bath sheets) there last year and they are so massive, I can only wash five at a time.

Target has a basic, non-designer line of towels which are smaller and lighter weight, and they have coordinating rugs etc, too.

Kohl's has a nice thick soft towel called "The Big One". We bought a few last year and they wash and dry very nicely while retaining their softness.

No snickering now, that's the name on the label of the towels.

If you have any outlets near you? I got a great deal on towels at a Springmaid Wamsutta outlet.  One time I got Ritz-Carlton towels for 2.99 each. I don't know what was wrong with them that they found their way to the outlet, but they seemed fine to me.

Target...

...I'll second Target on the bath towels. I bought a nice set of medium size and weight towels for very reasonable there. They were a little flimsy feeling out of the package, but are nice and fluffy and thirsty after washing them. IKEA (if you have one near you) also has some very reasonably priced choices in many colors ranging from sedate to wild.
