Is it ok to transport a dryer on it's side/back, or should it be kept upright? Didn't know if placing it in any direction other than upright would "upset" the drum/rollers? Thanks

Congratulations on your new dryer!

You should not have any trouble. Be careful of the trim as you slide the machine in and out of your vehicle. If it's a condenser and has been used, be sure you drain it as well as possible to prevent a wet spot in your SUV. I am sure you will drive your treasure home gently.

Thanks for the advice. The dryer is a "big load" Maytag DG series (something or other) model. All I know is it matches my A407 control panel & is in nice shape.

Gas Dryer

If the igniter is on its last legs and ready to crumble, sometimes moving the machine will finally break it. Other than that, no problems with moving dryers, and the igniters are delicate to begin with.
