Is it okay to transport a late 90s GE TL washer on its side?

I had read that here and I had no problem last year when I moved a 78 GE on its side. I was curious whether the design of the machine had been changed by the late 90s that would make moving one that way a bad idea.

GE TL Washers With Plastic or SS Inner Tubs

Are not good machines to transport on their sides once the factory shipping braces have been removed, on these newer machines the suspension struts can be dislodged and this might cause damage to various parts inside the washers cabinet.

Thanks for the info John. I'll keep that in mind in the future. Anyway I brought it home last night. Made out okay with it on its side. Tub didnt come off the suspension rods. Serial # indicates made in 1996. Nothing special for sure but not bad for free. Must have sat for a long time w/o being run. And maybe in a very damp basement as I found the motor was stuck. Took it out and got it freed up. Didnt seem to be badly stuck. It then spun smoothly/quietly and seems to run fine. Got to get it back together and do a test.
