I think the neighbors across the street long, long ago had that Whirlpool washer (in Post #66) along w/ the matching dryer...

I had the control panel for the washer that it replaced (on which there were three water levels and the three temps) and then saw that washer go in the garage for a newer one to come along, while the dryer (which would be nice to see) still ran, right down to being moved to the newer house they lived (and to their deaths, later) in...

the whirlpool washer in reply #66....

that looks alot like the washer my mom had when i was little. if i can date the approzimate years she had it, i would guess somewhere like 1975-1976 somewhere in that time frame. and we had it until around 1983 or 1984. but at that time, i never washed any clothes or took much notice to the washer. i was more busy with playing with my cousins, that we all lived together with. but looking at that whirlpool control panel, it looks so much like what i remember. and it definitely had the control knob on the right hand side. and i remember that black with white speckled washtub. i think i remember the other knobs for load size & temperatures too. i just never paid attention to it to say yes, 100% sure. but i would say 80% positive it had 3 knobs on the control panel (water temps., load size, and control knob). and it was definitely white with the black control panel. that i am 100% sure of!!!

Wow what a dear little number she is. I see this and I am reminded of my grandmother's 24 inch 1966 model. I can imagine the waves that Surgilator would make in that tub. I hope somebody here can land her and quick.
