Hello guys,
Few days ago I moved in to a new house. The new house has Commercial Washers so I decide to use them and not my Indesit.

yesterday I made some calculations and I discovered that home laundry is cheeper.
I made a load at my Indesit combo (WIDL 106) . All fine while washing but when I opened the door to take the clothes out I saw the absolute destruction. my T-shirts was fried!! Also the machine was too Hot!
Notice that I set the machine into the "Gentle Dry" option!

Is this machine fault , or all the combos have the same problem? The guy in the store told me that Combos cant dry so effective as the dryers.

combo

because of it being a condesing dryer built into the washer they tend to dry at very high temperatures, i only done a repair yesterday on a candy washer/dryer and they do work on higher temps, the girlonly used it to dry her towels as she has te same issues as yourself were as if u put clothes into dry they get a bit crisp n dry

I am not sure...

It should not exceed normal drying temperatures.
There has been a failure leaving the heat on constantly.
I have lived with condensers since 1983 and they do not run hotter than US dryers. Now, they take longer to dry, yup - but they are not hotter.
Try checking whether the condenser is stopped up with lint, a sensor is dirty, a thermostat has failed first. Those things are easy. Most thermostat parts are US available, by the way.
Oh,what's the model number?
One of us in Europe is bound to know this unit.

hello again. The model is WIDL 106.
I dont think that is a lint problem because the machine has used 3 months and it has dry 2 or 3 loads.
This was the first time I dryed clothes. I used to go to commercial washer/dryer because the combo needs 3 hours to wash n dry!!! Too much time to wait!

I don't know if its good idea to fix it or to sell it and buy a new set .......

Hi Johnny,

I will look through what I've got on them, but nearly all condensers have a major lint build up problem on the condenser, not just the lint filter. But not in 2/3 loads! More like after 10 cycles or so, at least mine.
Sounds like a failure.
Check the thermostats?

ok, not the condenser

Johnny,
A quick web search shows there is a known problem with overheating in the wash program on this series. Wash, not dry, but still...You may still have a chance at Indesit fixing it for free. Try giving them a call. I will ask a friend in England tomorrow what he knows, he works on Hotpoint, Creda, etc.

ok... I Called them!! They are <<<beeeeppp>>>!!!!

They told me that the machine is OK and its my fault.
"Jeans and synthetics shouldn't dry on dryer" their answer!!!

ok... I think it's time for new washer and dryer.!!

well, that is nonsense

Of course you should be able to dry them in this dryer. Johnny, I have heard back from my friend; he says this series - like all current Merloni - have big problems with the electronics.
Best to forget them, buy something more reliable. Maybe vintage?
Sorry, I can't help you further.
Panthera

Panthera thanks a Lot :-)
I 'm sure that main board have problem because one day the washer (at the final spin) was trying to spin without drain first! !@!@!

Tomorrow I'll go to see for new washer/dryer.
I 'll make a research to find an american toploader. (maybe a Whirlpool or Maytag)

Until new washer come , I'll use my 1984 IZOLA washer and my 1992 Zerowatt dryer (only 4Kg capacity) ;-)
