I bought a bag of Roma laundry detergent at Family Dollar today. I was getting bored with liquids so I decided to give this a try. Anyone else like and use it?

I used a couple of bags when it had phosphates.

It was a lot like a US detergent from the 1980s -- very high sudsing, no enzymes. Of course you can use an additive with enzymes if you like.

Without phosphates I don't see much point in it, but certainly worth a try.

I've used, and still have

some of the phosphated version. It did a nice job, and did not leave a overpowering scent behind!

Spiked with a little BiZ and maybe a little Oxy Clean, should be really good!

I did three loads using it and it seems pretty good, my clothes weren't super dirty so it worked alright for me. It doesn't leave a strong scent behind, which is nice.

I've used

I thought the scent was foul right when you open the package, but it doesn't leave much scent on the clothes in the end. Not bad.

Humm

wonder if they changed it? is it the phosphated version (older) ?

The two bags I have are, and don't have much scent to them.

I had read (a while back) that Roma detergent had two or three times the amount of STPP in then than Foca detergent.
So I grabbed three small bags off the bottom of the pile ( the non phosphated versions were on top) to use in case I needed to spike some other soap, or detergent with STPP ( figured the Roma would come in handy for that purpose) or to use alone.
