Hi all,

If you're coming to Tucson next weekend, first off, hooray!! We'll be looking forward so much to seeing you :-)

I've had a great question recur, though, and I'm afraid the answer changes...well, like the weather :-)

People have asked what to bring to wear. Here's what I recommend: Dress for warm temperatures, but bring a light jacket and/or pair of sweats. It's in the nineties(!!) today, but we had initial projections of being in the seventies next weekend, and either way, the big thing of it all is that it still gets cool at night (just to maximally mess you up).

I also S*T*R*O*N*G*L*Y recommend bringing sunblock, sunglasses, and a hat; the sun here is temperature-tolerable but, if you're like me, you'll be a peeling lobster in just under an hour. Please monitor your sun exposure carefully so as not to burn. You know your skin, so plan accordingly :-)

If you have any other questions for me, please don't hesitate to e-mail me at [email protected]. Work is crazy, so I don't check the site everyday...so please write me directly with any questions :-)

Thanks very much, and in the meantime, I hope you all are doing well, and we'll be looking forward to seeing you soon!!

Nate

oh man!!

I am the worst OVER-packer there is too, Thanks Nate!

I've got a couple of piles started of stuff to bring, I have to borrow a suitcase from my parents though!

At the rate I am going they'll be lucky to get the plane off the ground with my suitcase on board!

Sweats!!??!!

Nate:

You know how positively unflattering I look in sweats!! Perhaps a caftan with leggings instead? ;-)

Can't wait! This year I'll dress so I don't freeze my buns off!!

Thanks Nate, I'm so looking forward to meeting you next weekend, this should be a lot of fun. I'll be in Tucson Thursday evening. I've been to Phoenix before and I just love Flagstaff, but I've never been to Tucson before.

By the way, who else besides me from Automaticwasher.org land is making the pilgrimage to Tucson??????

I made the initial pilgrimage last year, and it's a beautiful place. I can't WAIT...now if I can just finish the repairs and get everything running before then so I won't have to come home to a semi-functional washhouse!

Rich, looking forward to finally meeting you as well!

I am green with envy! I love the Southwest. It's really a beautiful place. I took the train to the Grand Canyon two years ago, and I can't wait to go back.

Have fun! Keep us posted on how it goes!

Well I am looking forward to seeing you all and sharing my washing machines with everyone. A good time will be in store for everyone. I am counting the days.

I'll be there Robert! I was just telling Roger and Terry in an email today how happy I was you were coming and Greg, as I haven't seen either of you since I moved.

Richie, I'm so excited you're coming! We talked about it but then I didn't hear any more. I'll see you tomorrow too!

I knew some of the people that were coming but not all, and I"m willing to bet I'm in for a lot of surprises come next week. It will be nice to see everyone.

*Scream* Jamie has a boyfriend! I can't wait to meet him Jamie. You are such a sweetie!

Those who haven't visited before, Arizona is really nice at this time of year, taking into account the precautions Nate mentions. That said, I did get some color last year that stayed with me for some time thereafter. It tends to be a little warmer than California in March. I often go to visit Roger and my folks when they were there right around this time.

But it's a DRY heat!

You all are going to have such a blast! Wished I was going to be there :-(

They were predicting 100's already out there, even this early.

I'll try and tune in next weekend and peek in on all the good CLEAN fun. ;-) Open the chatroom one night!
