i've seen many people here talking about the 50 hz pulleys and belts to make the maytag's rev faster....but does anyone have part numbers for this upgrade...or where i could get them from? i have a helical drive and would like to kick it up a notch

As far as bearings go - over the long term there may be some accelerated wear spinning at 750 RPM, but if it is just a play machine I can't see it really doing that much harm considering the lower brake bearing and transmission sleeve bearing are virtually bullet proof. Now, if you were spinning it up to 1200 RPM - that'd be a different story.

The radial bearing used in 2 belt topload Maytag washers is also used for the rear spin bearing in a Neptune

Try Y202496 (Whirlpool part now) - most parts houses carry it anywhere between 55 and 65 bucks.

Partstore.com claims to have everything in stock. The part # needs to be entered correctly. Sorry, I forget that everyone here doesn't know how to cross reference Maytag part #'s. Enter the part # in the parenthesis.

50 Hz amp...

Pdub, a 50 Hz pulley and belts will increase the orbital tranny agitation to 159 OPM and the spinning to 757 RPM. It's going to effect the spin speed more than anything. But, it's more impressive to see it work on the helical tranny. It's just right!

Yogitunes, PLEASE make some videos of your Maytag when you install the 50 cycle (Hz) parts.

How fast does the helical drive then agitate?

The helical drive transmission agitating speeds increases from REGULAR 63 to (72 OPM) and GENTLE 42 to (51 OPM).
IMO, a 1/2 HP motor also increases the strength of the transmission agitation stroke. Which will create an even stronger "rollover" current enabling more laundry to be washed per load size.

oh, i intend to do some videos on this site...and some pics too...real soon....i just picked up and old ge top load dishwasher some old farm house put in the trash....i don't think its been used there's no wear mark inside or out but it works perfect...it's a "mobile maid"...funny even the power cord retracts into the back....the front is where the hose pulls out and the pushbuttons are facing up....am going to try and get picks up asap...thanks for your help guys with the part numbers

Gansky installed a 50 cycle pulley and belt set on his A810 Maytag washer. He said, it increased the speeds approximately 30%. But, between Eddy210 and Gansky figures, it's more likely the increase was (22 1/2%). So, the old regular wash 63 OPM moves to (77 OPM) and a fast spin 618 OPM to (757 RPM)

BTW, does anyone know the actual size of the Dependable Drive transmission agitation ARC?
