Am almost certain have seen that item before recently

Was on Craigslist here in NYC (Brooklyn?) for not very long. Saw it one night while trawling the listings; went back a day or so later and couldn't find.

Recall the advert vividly because seller stated it was pick-up only and had to be hauled down several flight of stairs.

If is same seller is less "ghosted" than did a deal locally and stopped bothering with you.

probably very scarce in 2019...

all of these Japanese TTs are ~35-50 years old and they all seem to have had a problem with poor durability of the rubber hoses-I used to find these at the dump in '82 fairly often and they usually had hoses that cracked all to hell wherever they clamped onto plastic fittings-this on machines mostly around 10 yrs old in '82...Several different brands were found:Sanyo,Toshiba,Matsushita, and Brother, possibly others.Cool, fun little washers and if I ever find one local I will buy it on sight :)

Now that you mention it....

IIRC seller of item listed on local CL did mention (or at least one thinks they did), something about the hose being cracked. That wasn't an issue a Moi since figured a replacement could be worked out some way.

See these little units now and then on Kijji and a few others places; not very often but still. Often however for some reason they are always up north (Canada).

I had the Panasonic too, and also wish I could still get one.  Had to settle for the Panda (China) version, nowhere near as concisely engineered.

That photo shows 2 Pana characteristics, the single wide hinge lever and the flat covers.  If the peller was offset (rather than orthogonal) that would just about cinch it.  But I never saw a Hitachi live, may be closely related.

Actually, last time I looked you COULD still get a Pana TT if you were willing to pay shipping from........ wait for it......... Kuwait!

Hoover TT

I have the Hovoer TT in the garage in Mint condition, I just wish it was Avacado to match my Hoover dryer... I may dabble in trying to paint it..
I would even give my Hoover away to a member for the TT Panasonic, in avacado..
