Yes, there's a little light the shines down over each timer dial. As for the "auto" temp settings, there's cottons/sturdy whites and colors; Permanent Press Whites and Colors; Knit, Delicate. Those are markings on the timer dial within each cycle. That corresponds to Hot/Cold and Warm/Cold respectively for both Normal and Perm Press. I believe the two delicates are both warm/cold temp combos. Pre wash and pre soak are both warm.
Todd, congratulations. These are the end of the LK for belt drives. My October 1986 LK is the first DD. These are the beauties I commented on the other day because the wash tub wasn't white porcelain. This dryer was the only mechanical timer dial of the last belt dries that had a medium dry temperature. In afct, tht's apliocable for all center dial belt drives, only the LK had the medium dry temp. And you got luck with both the drying rack as well as the little "tree" used to hang clothes hangers on.
