Hello all!

I wanted to share my latest purchases with you. First is a sealed in the box avocado green Sunbeam hand mixer, the second is a chrome and brown Mixmaster.

Pics from the eBay listings are included below and I will update with unboxing pics and some action shots when they arrive.

I grew up around Gram's harvest gold and brown Mixmaster and I miss it terribly. I was hoping to find one just like it, but there wasn't one this time around, sadly.

Does anybody have a set of dough hooks and a small bowl they would be willing to part with? I know they can be found elsewhere online, but I would honestly rather buy from a fellow collector.

Hope they arrive undamaged--The Mixmasters have to be packed properly or they don't survive shipment-ESP detaching the Mixmaster motor from the base-and the bowels have to be wrapped carefully. The Mixmasters I got from Kelly survived their cross country trip-he packed them WELL! So miss Him!!Have spoken to him on the phone several times.

Matt, I'm pretty sure I have at least one small stainless bowl in storage down at the house in Ogden.  Are you in a hurry for this?  I won't be back down there until the weekend to look for it, but would be happy to dig around for it then.

I don't have the dough hooks, but I have seen them turn up at Thrift Stores once in a while so I'd be happy to keep an eye out for them also, if you don't need them urgently.

Nice Finds!

So awesome to find NOS of a favorite appliance!

I have a Sunbeam Mixmaster 701-10C that I attached to a chrome metal stand (like a 701-10D) Been using the mixer for almost 8 years and fine tuned the bowl adjustments. I just wish there were less play in the turntable. Like using the dough hook (spiral loops) to mix chunky cookie dough. ground beef and batter breads.

I have a model 12C that is quieter than most too! It was an ebay purchase buying the motor, and stand separately and using bowls and beaters I already had.

Paul, TAKE YOUR TIME! No urgency at all. If you have or can find any of that, great! If not, not a problem at all!

Rex, will keep everybody posted on condition when they arrive.

I'm very excited to be the first person to lay hands on that hand mixer since it left the factory!

Dough Hooks

I have dough hooks that you can have. if you email me the address, I will gladly send them to you. They are from a long ago mixer, that my mom had, and I have no use for them. Give me a holler.

Had the same Mixmaster, picked it up on Kelly's recommendation.  I liked it and did pick up some dough hooks on ebay for it.  Seemed like a decent unit, ending up gifting it to a relative as I needed to thin the heard a bit.  I would not use it with heavy doughs though...

I too miss Kelly, great guy.  I think of him often when I make toast in the Kitchenaid toaster he sent me, or when I make one of his great recipes.

Found it!

Good news, Matt!  I found the Sunbeam stainless bowl.  Here's a couple of pictures - it needs a 'Utility and Utensil' treatment but otherwise it's in great shape.  One of the original Sunbeam ones, too - made in the USA.

Please send me your mailing address (my email address is in my profile) and I'll get that out to you probably next week (I'll probably send it from Vermont so that it'll get to you faster).

Geez I have a lot of mixer bowls...  Mostly white glass ones.  Sunbeams, Hamilton Beach, Dormeyer, Westinghouse... Oy!
