Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support AutomaticWasher.org:

We've had snow on the ground here for 9 days, and hopefull we can keep continuous snow cover through the end of February like normal. The past four winters have been real wimpy here in the northland, below normal snowfall and well above normal temperatures, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed this year will be at least normal, shhhhhhhhhh I don't want to jinx it!

Last year Jetcone Jon stole all of our snow and sent it to New England, I told him if he does that again, he can expect a big huge slap.

Austin goes to California

Said: I wish the winters here were like California!! That's one of many reasons why I want to move there in the future..

I say: I'd love to go to a place that has four seasons just as home does.
But I'm not 100% sure that, fires, floods/ mudslides, earthquakes and riots is what I'm really looking for, personally ... LOL.

But I won't knock it till I have tried it.

Said: I remember about 15 years ago, there were a couple days of continuous below-freezing temps, which caused some plumbing damage.

I found it QUITE interesting that southern areas get more plumbing damage in a cold-snap than northern areas. "Building techniques" get blamed.

In FL I was amazed to see the water service above ground. Then I cam back to Long Island and found the same thing! It is kept in a "hot-box." (see link) An electrically heated enclosure. Downside? Blackout during a cold-snap is perhaps gonna cause frozen pipes.

I have seen how things are done in FL & AZ.
Now to get TX, and GA under my belt...

Toggle's coming to visit one day soon. BEWARE!

Just so you know.....

What little "jingle boobs, er bobs" I had were frozen off last Thursday! The good news is ......it's 72 degrees today! Go figure!

Of course, we will be sure to have the next Texas mini at a more temperate time; October, perhaps. You will be there, won't you dahling? ;-)
