Curing people from HoMoSeXuality

If they are thinking of curing people, I suggest that they consult the Reverend Ted Haggard (and honey, don't she look it) on just how hard you have to pray to pray away the Gay. They will either get the truth or enough bull sh*t to fertilize all of Uganda for the next growing season.

Glad to hear Uganda dropped the subject. Now we can concentrate on the peaceful, tolerant, loving Islamic followers in other countries that have been hanging, stoning and burning gay people on a daily basis that the press basically ignores.

Dropping the death penalty

is NOT "dropping the subject!" This is not a drinks party.

Imagine it (I know, a challenge for some) here.

Writing out the death penalty is good, but just a start.

All i can say is KUDOS to TRMS, she stayed on this topic like a bloodhound. Yes they dropped the death thing, or so they say. Maybe this Flap, will make life stay the same for the opressed in Uganda. Maybe Rev Warren will get the holiday spirit, and try to right some wrong. alr2903

i think having read all of these posts here that there is a solution to some members being opposed to political discussions on this site and I will email Mr. Webmaster about that and see what he thinks. I expressed opinions in here the other night and meant what i said but also felt bad that i might have driven away people who were here only for fun or advice...so i think something different needs to be organized here. The world is going through huge growing pains. Expression is good among friends. If you do not express how you feel about the times we are enduring, or what changes for the better you want to see, or try to convince people that hate is wrong, or that lead in toys is dangerous, etc etc, then soon or later your health will fail...miserably. There are a lot of great people here in this club. There is a way to have discussions without alienation of those who are simply here to get repair help or find someone to repaint their fridge or chat about the latest stain fighters or even vintage christmas stuff, lol. Heck, I just got here for the first time really...I think years ago i was here and ran away from it for some reason...the result was that lots of great stuff was sent to the scrap shredder...can't allow that to happen ever again...i would have GIVEN it all away had I know about all of you folks here. SO DON"T RUN AWAY FOR ANY REASON, LOL!

Some have said that the past 100 years of human history has contained more violence than the sum total of all human years prior put together..and I'm not going to give a darn about any mathematical argument concerning how that statement came about, the sentiment is what is important. Change must occur and just about every level of human life or we will all be gone within a time span that will be less than a blink. While people are busy killing each other, oppressing each other, stealing food from each other, growing deadly corn (what?!) and all manner of other time frittering, little attention is paid to the giant pile of rocks hurtling their way toward this little delicate planet. It's no joke...it might even be what unites us together. And I'm not talking about some modern b-grade craptacular Hollywood production (That move is a GREAT drinking game, btw!), this has to be focused upon NOW. I'm not willing to sign off and say that this is the fate of humanity without trying to prevent suffering any way possible...on ALL levels. Heck...that's why I've been up all night...I read all this stuff y'all were talking about and couldn't sleep and keep thinking about how we are going to solve the problems of our present human conditions. All from a little ole' online appliance club...who knew? But it inspires me...we are headed for disaster, but no scientist will convince me that we are already doomed, and I'm half scientist anyway, lol.

I will say this as a reminder though during this Holiday gifty frenzy...YOU VOTE WITH YOUR DOLLAR. Think about what you are buying. How much suffering did it take to get what you are about to purchase? Change is not only possible, it is necessary for life to continue.

Good God...what have I done? Talk to you all in a week. maybe. Unless one you kills me, lol.
