Thought I should share this site! Navigation is a pain, but if you can't find the parts you need on there, I reckon it's worth phoning them.

I was able to order (and receive!) several obsolete Hoover vacuum parts, but there are many washer parts too. A quick search turned up bits for the Bendix LT, Colston 850XD slope front and widebody Keymatic, Parnall Spinwasher and English Electric Liberators, and I'm sure there's plenty more.

Thought I ought to share this as I know some of you guys have such machines so may want to stock up, or might need bits to get a machine going.

Hope this helps some of you chaps out!

Simon

Thanks Simon

I have just ordered a few bits from this site.
Thanks again for sharing this valuable information.

Lee.

I've ordered parts to

Simon,

i bought several parts for the english electric, and was amazed when sure enough they turned up a few days later.

Unfortunatly they don't have anymore keymatic and other vintage door gaskets, but they are definatly worth getting in touch with if your after a specific component.

Good to hear from you Simon, and in case anyone is wondering, no the liberator is not working yet, the motor has burnt out, so I'm still on the look out for a replacement.

Mathew

First and most important part is a new pressure pot for my 1851/03 the repair job I did has not lasted so this saves me the bother.

Very rear obsolete part indeed.

Next is an interlock slide for the 18680 which lock the door release button, I had to remove the broken one and use the machine with out it.

Next is the PMC for the 1851/03 this is the SCR which is part of the motor speed control circuit, added to the hoard of parts.

Last one and again a very hard to find part, the speed module for the 1851/03.
I am hoping to copy the circuit from this PCB so if it every fails I can replicate it.

I’m very grateful to Simon for the heads up on this one, the prices are great the lot came to £55.

Great you got bits you needed Lee, are those package labels actually purple?!?!

Thanks Mathew, have been rather antisocial the last few years, but steps are in hand to sort that! Sorry to hear the motor has gone on the Liberator. Can they not be rewound, or is it beyond even that?

Simon, no the labels are genuine Hotpont parts, very dark blue and the label on the pressure pot is a very dark brown, codes match the service manuals too.

To be fair, Richard (ricky5050) mentioned them a while back, but I stumbled across their site while googling for an armature for one of my Hoovers, and found their stock jaw dropping! It's great that there is a reliable company dealing with obsolete bits, there was a place in Swansea that also stocked some stuff, but I know some collectors (myself included) had some problems in dealing with them.

Another batch of booty from this site, well my girlfriend buys shoes and bags, I splash out on spars.

First up is a A.K.O. timer which will fit the 1851/03 and 1828/01 also would fit the 18680.

Now all I have to do is hide the stash out of sight just like she dose, and when it comes to light later I have had this stuff for years.

Excellent! I need a new pump for my Zanussi FC1200W So will now look for one. Also, a Hotpoint WM62 is now on my Wishlist to own, so i will look for some cheap spares for the WM6x Series. Another thing for my zanussi is a new Door Boot, the one on it now is all mouldy and manky, so must find a new one. Does anyone know a website where i can get some scratch treatment, The guy who had this machine before I got it and replaced the drum bearings in treated it very badly and scratched the front. A photo of the Manky door boot during restoration work...
