Last Post REMOVED? Well, Now Get This:
Hey, all! Thought I would share:
With the inconsistent weather we've been having, just for it to have gone from a SWELTERING Indian Summer to finally WINTER & w/ REAL SNOW, that I'd had a near-'Change Yo' Sheets, Dave!' (washin' Blanca, and all!) to deciding after neglecting to, (suddenly got no time--and needed even the blankets that are "just friends"--Ha, ha!--to be available) realizing it's OK to go another what's now approaching a MONTH since over-loading my old, '90's Kenmore, doing load-after-load of Heavy Duty Fast Agitation/Fast Spin and setting the Water Level to the max! (And equally taxing the dryer, having it on the Highest Temperature & getting a blasting furnace o' heat--from the timer set at 50 Min. to the Auto Dry routinely run & paused for rotating the materials to eliminate the still-damp areas I would otherwise use the Touch-Up Zone in my timer for otherwise...
My wife is a different story: The mattress pad, in our queen sized bed, has suffered a lot of punches from the routine washing it needed, (since 2007) we've gone from three bed sets, to two, we--or rather SHE--use(s)--since one has a cool floral Victorian design I loath to have on that bed, subject to her laying on it in her dirty work clothes & even wearing her shoes in it, (so that's why I don't want that mangled from excessive laundering)... Hence she's got the nerve complaining that the bed smells & not monthly, but WEEKLY insisting I drop everything to wash the sheets, pillow cases, and even the blankets for it...
My own mother-in-law even claims that she washes her bedding in her old Amana every week, insisting we do the same... Uh, sorry Ma! Water & soap is expensive and your antique laundry equipment is doing better on borrowed time than ours... 'Sides, we've gone over-eight-years without bed bugs...
