UK voltage question

Will a UK appliance that is designed to run on 230 volt 50hz work with the 220-240 volts 60hz the we have in the US, I found a nice Bosch canister vacuum that i couldn't pass up, it has the two round pin plug,its a silence 1300,it is in the original box and came with 66 bags,I'd like to power it up,but don't want to ruin it. As far as I know....

UK vacs will work from a US 220V outlet- although my knowledge relates more to "classics" that dont tend to contain printed circuit boards.

Maybe a US member with expierence of this would be the best source of info

Forgot to say.......

You have a European as opposed to a UK version- the UK plug has 3 flat pins
