Hi guys.

Just been looking at this thread and love all the machines on it. Mike, the photos of the Hotpoint Top Loader, Matt, (Bendix Delux) is on it. I would love to see a photo of the tub & agitator.

Also, I have a Hoover Ranger Senior, model, U4002, serial no, U400240800256, can you please tell me how old it is, and how do you work out the age.

Mike, the photos of the v-zug, fantastic, I asked my partner if he would take out a second mortgage to buy me one, but the answer was no.

Hoover Ranger Senior, model, U4002, serial no, U400240800256

Hi Paul.

Will do the honours with the date thing:

U4002 = model number
4 = year! always refers to last digit of the year/you have to know the decade. Your machine is 1974.
08 = month. Your machine is August.
00256 = individual machine identity

This dating pattern was applied to most, if not all Hoover machines, until the mid 1990s and was a lot simpler that hotpoints, not requiring a date code sheet.

Not a Servis Mk310 I am afraid, but its Mikes Mk308S.

The Mk308S was essentially an upgraded Mk308, which had a door release slide, and was the prototype machine for the Servis Mk310.

The 308S boasted a stainless steel drum and electronic control, over the Mk308, both features carried over into the Mk310.

More compact, but same size drum - how did servis do it?

Its the Mk72 Automatic, which heralded Servis first foray into the world of font loading automatics...

The first electra of the weekend was the Electra 11500, a clone of the black facia Creda machines. This machine was the leccy boards 1000rpm offering for 1983...

the second offering from Electra was the leccy boards 800rpm offering for 1983.
Based on the Philips machine, this boasted the wonderful spin drain feature, which made for fantastic viewing.

Both this, and the 11500, were sold alongside each other.
the lineup was completed by the A3294 1100 Electronic de luxe E, which was still badeged as a Hoover, rather than an electra....

Hoover A3006 Automatic de luxe - the machine that replaced the Hoover 3236H matchbox, in the hoover lineup....

Hoover A3008 Keymatic de luxe - which replaced the 3243H matchbox keymatic, the only one so far found being in the safe hands of Gary (electron 1100).

This machine was operated on at the last 'do' with mike and mathew, resealing and rust treating the outer tub.

This was its first water test since then, which it passed. great stuff!...

and the matching dryer, in the form of the D6008 dryer de luxe.

The only machine missing from the lineup is the A2044 cold fill machine. I have never seen a piccy of this latter machine, so if any one boasts a piccy, I would love to have a gander! The A2044 did not have a powder drawer and looked, to all intents and purposes, the same as the D6008 (I think!)....

And a real gem - Hotpoint 1501 Automatic.

This is Hotpoints second automatic machine, after the model 1500. Goodness knows what the differences between them were, because the 1501 looked identical to the 1500...
