Mike posted a piccy of the tarpaulined lot.

Here is what was underneath, earlier in the day:

far end on the right is a real real real gem in the form of Servis' first ever washing machine, in the form of the Model A! Only 50 of this machine were ever made and was rediscovered, in a shop, last year.

then Hoover single tub
then hoover spinner
then frigidaire spinner

on the left:

caravan single tub
morphy richards spinner

Hoover Senior

Hi Paul, (Matchboxpaul), many thanks for the information. I love the photos of the Hotpoint Top Loader, well cool. My Mum had the Servis MK72, and was a great machine.

Thanks once again for your help

MIKE,PAUL, MATHEW

I am stunned by the quality of the photos and the equipment and the atmosphere that comes from them, just amazing.........it is really uplifting to see all this, a rare occasion in my life when i gobsmacked!

And of course all that sweet sugar laden food!..........christ i would be on insulin by tap feed if i went near them, they look very tempting

MIKE
That 3008 is soooooooooooo beautiful

And of course not forgetting the V-zugs, yes they are the most attractive modern machines i have seen

Well just brilliant the whole event

Gary

Ps Mike i didnt realise your dog had gone, so I am very sorry about that, you mentioned something on the phone about her not being around but i didnt know what you meant, sorry

Amazing pics

Hi guys

What an amazing set of pics - looks like you all had a fantastic time! I'm soooo gutted that I couldn't make it up this time - I can't wait to hear all about it from Rich and Mathew. If I'd known a 1501 was starring I'd have really tried every excuse with the other half...still I'm sure there'll be more times!

Keep the pics coming!

D :-)

Washers

Hey David, sorry you couldnt make it, wont be long before we do another one!!of course just realised the 1501 would have been the Gala equivalent?? We didnt water test it as its got a leak in the outer tub which is procelain as well, its due a visit to Marks repair shop when I collect the 15** thats having a re-haul!!

Cheers, Mike

Wash In

Hi Gary, thanks for your kind words, did seem weird not having the schnitzels about!!!

Yes those cakes!!!there are more photos which I dont have, Alistair must have been up all week with his Sunbeams, you should have seen the car!!! every inch packed to the rafters!!!

The Keymatic had its first outing since the back seal was done, perfect, a little dribble from the door seal on the hot washes but with a roughing up or even new one will be good to go!!!

Cheers, Mike

Oh that filter-flo Hotpoint is just beautiful, I would love to see on run in person someday! How fun, thanks for sharing the pictures you guys.

I've never been to England, hopefully Fred and I can come out and visit you guys sometime in the next few years.

15**

Hiya Mike

So there is another 15something out there being rebuilt - hurrah - oh I hope its the holy-grail 1509/10 - would be so good to see one of those alive and well again - the REAL Hotpoint Liberator!!

Thanks for the pilot-light pic of the 1501 - isn't that the most cool 1960s image! You're right - the 1500 through to 1502 were sold as GALA in export markets like Ireland and elsewhere - I think even as far as Malta.

Thanks again

D :-)

PS I'll be up in Chester in the next month or so, so might be able to catch you then...in the meantime:

Hi David

You are in luck!

It is the 1509/10 that Mike is having rebuilt so at last there will be a "True" 1509 Liberator working once again.
