Hi, I have the ability to fly into Heathrow Airport around the 8th of June through the 13th and am wondering if there are any AW members in or around the London area that would like to show me around, show off your collections etc.

I would love to see some of your cool collections in person that you guys have.

Message or Email me and we can talk, thanks in advance.

Trip To London and Beyond

I had a great trip to London. I flew over from Dallas airport and landed around 730 AM June 8th and was greeted by the tall handsome Alister Kerr [ vacbear 58 ] holding a sign with the AW logo and my name printed on it.

We had breakfast and Al went off to work and I found my way around London taking in the sights and visiting the Tate Modern art museum most of the afternoon. After a day of sightseeing I made my way out to where Al works on the Tube and then he drove me out to where he lives around 150 miles north of London.

A few pictures of London, and I will post more later of the washers and other collectors I met.

Great to meet you John !

It was great to meet John firstly at Darren's house for drinks in the garden and a nice meal with Steve and Al and then at Als to see some of the UK washers we all know and love. And getting you to help repair a few !! They must have seemed small to the big USA beasts you're used to !

Here's to seeing you on the other side of the pond !!

Hmmmmmm....... This could be a great system to increase visitors to AW.org's far flung museums. Visitor(s) from one part of the world could obtain a list of wanted/needed items beforehand and ship them to the host(s). Hosts get some of their yearnings satisfied and get to show of their collections. Visitors get multiple geekgasms:-)

This was Darren's

Darren's house is a beautiful example of 1940s style with furniture from Victorian era and later that would have naturally sat in a house of that era. Take away a Tv and it's a set for a movie ! And the gardens are beautiful! Darren is slowspin Als house isn't bad either I must say lol.
