Hi all,

I need to move my Logic 1300 from Plymouth up to Durham.

Does anyone have any experience using couriers for transporting large appliances? Any recommendations on a particular company?

How much would I roughly be looking at paying?

Any help much appreciated!

Hi Matt.

Have a look on eBay under Man With A Van. When I bought my Miele I use a local guy and he was good.

Hi Matt I live in north west Durham and used a lad from Manchester to move a TT from Wales he's been used by other members here and seems very good, I cannot remember his name but know who will. I'll try and get you details! Where are you moving to?

Paul, I thought about hiring a man with a van sort of service, but for the distance involved it would just be too expensive (if they would even do it in the first place)!

Hi Richard, I moved up yesterday. I'm in Brandon, just outside Durham City. Would be lovely to maybe meet up one day since we're so close! I'll drop you a line when I get the chance, although I don't have very reliable internet access at the moment so it might be a few days!

I'm hoping I have already managed to get a friend to bring it for me. I looked into couriers and they wanted it palleted before they collected it, which I wasn't able to do. The only option was a removal company, but for that distance they wanted around £250, which I really couldn't afford!
