Illinois, Wisconsin, Ohio, Indiana, Iowa and bit of Missouri and Kansas seem happy hunting grounds for things vintage appliance wise.

does anyone recall what cycles this has on the dial? Regular, permanent press, knits?

Yes

Hi- yes, i have almost this same exact set- but this one has one extra dial on the washer console for agitation/spin speed. and a nicer lid. Mine appears to have been BOL ....plastic lid and only normal and gentle cycles on the dial.

Great places to find used appliances

Hi laundress, you left out Pennsylvania, New Jersey, New York, Connecticut and of course, Minnesota, places that were pretty well off 50 years ago are great places to find appliances, especially where there wasn’t a lot of huge escalation in home prices and a lot of movement of people ,people tended to keep things longer stick them in the basement, etc.

That’s why a lot of the southern states like Florida, Georgia, etc. you don’t really find a lot of great stuff when there weren’t basements they just grew a lot population in the last 50 years and there wasn’t a lot of good stuff. Purchased there 50 years ago.
