Under all the dirt

My sister-in-law called me a couple weekends ago-she had been to an estate sale and the guy running the sale had given her an old vacuum-she didn't know if I would want it or not-it was filthy.......look what was under all the dirt! A 560! The directions for the magic finger belt lifter were still stuck on the belt lifter. All it took was some cleaning-didn't even need a headlight.

Hooray to you, Roger.
It's not too often you can find these with the original bag and cord in such great shape. Red and grey rocks! Does the 560 have the aromatizer plug on the back of the bag base or is it a screw cap? The 519 had the screw and the 561 had the plug.

It's remarkable what a little polishing can do for these - not even a full teardown and restore and look at the shine! These red-trimmed models are my faves!

Kool-Very nice Kirby.Reminds me of the 510 my folks had when I was a kid.It got lost in a flood-have been hunting for a 510 since.My mom says it was bought the year I was born.
