Under Sink Drainage Spigots

Not quite sure where to post this but it relates to washing machine drainage.

What method of drainage do you use Standpipe, over the sink or a spigot connected to a sink trap?

Is the spigot method prone to problems?

Drainage

I use a standpipe.

I have twice been 'called out' to washers which 'won't drain' due to a blocked spigot connection. In one case the lady had already ordered a new washer!!!
