Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

We have one in the collection. The wildest thing about this stove is the little cap beside the 8" element. When you opened the cap, there was a connection in the tube where you inserted the upside down "L" shaped rod that had this big filter in a housing hanging down. It was an electronic precipitator for removing frying odors. It fit over skillets and was adjustable in height, maybe so it could be placed over a big stinky pot of sauerkraut. I'll bet you if you asked that to filter the smell out of kraut, it would start browning out neighborhoods all the way back to the substation. The speedometer-looking thing on the right is the meat thermometer.

I bought it yesterday!

I was saving that for a surprise, but what the hey.. due to his and my schedule, I can't pick it up till the weekend of the 18th. Pictures to follow.

Thanks

I had never seen anything like it, and it has lighted controls, what's not to love about that! Tom, that "extra" sounds interesting, can't wait to see if this one has that, he says it still has the temp probe thing. Roast test coming up!

HOLY MOLY !!!!!!!!!!!!

I love the shape of the those burners. This one is a real winner. Philco appliances always had great design to them. Enjoy.

Very Nice

Congrats southernmdgeguy .
When I come to visit veg we'll come for snacks!
Bull c Bob you posted correcly. Imperial is for
pre 1985 Washing machines, dryers and dishwashers.

For now, it will have to join the GE

In the garage kitchen. I don't even have a clue what size that thing is, width wise, I just saw that dash and unusual design and had to save it. Since the GE is only working on two burners, it will be moved out to storage and this one can take it's place. I cook on the GE a few times a week at least, just nothing that makes a mess. I hope the oven on this one works as good, but guess I could keep them side by side. I will post pictures once it is home and hooked up. If it works as well as they say, it may be moved into full time duty.

And what's a couple inches between friends..

I guess it is time to get out the measuring tape...

I hope it is a standard one that won't require kitchen surgery to install. That's how the 54 GE ended up starting a garage kitchen in the first place.
