My plans to replace the failing (transmission) A506 with a 512 did not work out, and I have left the family house in MA where the machines were located. The now 50-year-old 107 is still running like a top, though. Got them both (and my Elux vacs — my other favorite thing) moved into storage for now in Virginia, where I’m once again living full-time. And yes, the unit is climate controlled. Once my life allows for it, I’m going to bring the 506 (and perhaps the 107 as well, just to be safe) to Eugene at Lorain and have him do a complete overhaul of it, and make it good to go for another 40 years and hopefully beyond. For now, the machines are stabled together awaiting their time to shine once more. When I eventually buy my first place, I intend to make sure it’s compatible with the machines and have them both set up just like I did in MA. That will probably be when I make the trip to Cleveland to bring them to Eugene.
