upgrade membership question

When the upgraded memberships were first introduced, I read about how the payment system works. I thought that there was an option to pay for an upgraded membership which did NOT require a paypal account.

Tonight for the first time I clicked on "upgrade membership" and below the section to enter credit card details is a link to a Product Disclosure Statement from Paypal which indicates that by completing the transaction I am creating a Paypal account.

I would prefer NOT to have an account with Paypal.

What are my options?

Hi Chris, you need to go through paypal, but you don't have to have a paypal account.  There is an option to use credit cards only once you click on the donate button...
