USPS and Their Bogus "Delivered" Status

Automatic Washer - The world's coolest Washing Machines, Dryers and Dishwashers

Help Support :

I get a detailed chronicle of time-lime status like that on packages too...  Either investigating the status w/ a USPS-related link, or it is directly put there...

Seems like you got a delivery-in-transit schematic similar to the Gold Shipment going from the US Mint to Ft. Knox by way of Mayberry:

I can understand two deliveries

Depending on the size, and priority of the package.

I have ordered items from Ebay, and Amazon where they will ship by Fed-X, UPS, or USPS, but then depending on the priority or size will change shippers for actual delivery. My tracking will state, transferred to contractor with UPS etc. At Christmas time I ordered two identical items, from the same seller, at the same time, and received them two days apart, delivered by different shippers.

The postal service has gone downhill. We share a zipcode with another town, and we had a good postal worker who used to deliver the mail by noontime, and he did a good job at what he had to do. I talked to him many times, and he told me he was being moved to another route and someone else was going to be delivering the mail. The new guy started delivering the mail and it was late in the day. Got to talk to the new guy and inquired about when he would be delivering the mail, and he stated that this is the end of his route since he delivered in the other town first, so our mail would not be delivered until 3:30 or 4 pm, a big change, well it started that way, but it came more like 4:30 or 5pm when and if it got delivered, and he put wrong mail in the boxes to boot. The guy we have now is a loser, as he doesn't give a c**p about when the mail gets delivered and if it delivered at all. We had to sign up for the mail informed delivery so we know what was coming in the mail that day. As for complaining about the service, forget about it, the service center doesn't care one bit. Not much you can do about it today, except accept the poor service a real shame.
