Skip...I consider the Lark to be a Junior in that it is basically the same design with a larger agitator. Initially though the Lark was to use the same width agitator as the 115 but changed at the last minute. The horizontal design is common among the Junior machines. Just my two cents!

1348 Height Adjusters

Hey Tom

The later design height adjustment dates from Jan 76 when the U1012 was introduced over here. I think its much easier to adjust than the earlier version!. Strangly the later design which didnt make it to the US went back to the earlier design!!!.
The 1330 is close in colour to the final version of our 1334A- I would suspect the bag is US made as it has the much smaller US font Hoover script.
Thats a nice section of your collection- there was a 1348 of the earlier type on Ebay recently, I was tempted but it ended up rather expensive and the bank balance wouldnt allow it ;(.

Have sent ya a mail also.....

What a great selection of vacs, those "Bug Eyed" Kenmores are wild, need to see a vid of those!!!

Love those Turquoise colours and "Kart vacs", I found a Kenmore Commander whilst hunting with the gang from Minni last year on the way to the convention, still thinkin I should have gotten it....

Those AirWays have a stylish Wow factor me thinks, simple and effective..

Rob, could you take a pic of the switch on the Eureks RotoMat, I`m sure its the same vac that we had here in the 60`s badged as a Morphy Richards, this vac was our first "Family Vac" and I`ve never seen on since...

My two most treasured vacs are these: The Lux XXX that Robert presented to me at my first convention, and the "Sweeper Vac" that I found whilst we where "Estate Saleing" in Minneapolis, only cost me 3 dollars, slightly more to post it...LOL

Mike

Hey Mike posts some pics of your Hotpoint darthvader upright front and back of it if You don't mind

Thanks Skip...

Tom, thanks for the great "history lesson" on the Juniors! Reggie brought his early 1348 to the wash-in last March, and I noticed that its height adjuster had worded markings as well as a different style adjuster wheel, whereas mine didn't. I thought it was just a characteristic of that particular model...didn't realize it was a deliberate change! And why is it that all 70's Juniors I see on eBay seem to be missing their rubber bumpers, like mine?

Mike, nice "Hotpernt" uprights! LOVE that Darth Vader model, very deco! Now if it was painted black...;-)

Darth vader Hot point

Hey Mike went was the darth vader made? is it an extremely rare vac in the UK? When I saw it ib Your photo a couple of months back, I asked richie about it. I love the vac. I wonder if there's a chance of finding one. So it would be my UK Dream vac as for years the Remoco was my dream vac, but was so lucky 3 yrs ago as on the UK ebay My remoco was listed in 40's retro so no collectors saw it that's why my winning bid was US 1.98 but I did in fact give the sellers 50.00 US dollars for it. It still runs like a dream and in fact I used it a couple of weeks ago
